Much of Scripture is misrepresented by atheists as they don’t believe in a spiritual reality. Genesis 30:37-39; “37Then Jacob took fresh sticks of poplar and almond and plane trees, and peeled white streaks in them, exposing the white of the sticks. 38He set the sticks that he had peeled in front of the flocks in the troughs, that is, the watering places, where the flocks came to drink. And since they bred when they came to drink, 39the flocks bred in front of the sticks and so the flocks brought forth striped, speckled, and spotted.”

 

-This, for example would’ve taken God’s divine intervention. In a way that is like how people are supernaturally healed by the laying on of hands. Faith in God produces results.

 

Many atheists have a skewed view on spiritual reality as it is not examinable, so they will always discredit anything spiritual…it is important to remember that. It does not make you wrong, it merely means it is non-examinable in a laboratory setting based on tested theories (I.E. limitations put on God). God works in several different dimensions, just because an individual has not experienced Him does not mean He does not exist. There is a possibility of God’s existence, no atheist can deny that. You cannot read the Bible with a closed, carnal mind. You must at least be somewhat open-minded. Although there are deceiving spirits in other religions, the Holy Spirit will "test" them, that is the only way for you to know.

 

God created time and space for people to exist in. Saying He can't exist is a bit like an ant saying that humans don't exist. He exists in a spiritual plane outside of our fleshly realm of existence. Here's another thought; God is all around, you can witness spiritual warfare daily, but if your eyes aren't open, in other words if you are spiritually blind then you cannot see what is happening all around you. The devil likes this, when you don't believe he exists he can control you all he wants without you ever knowing or even doing anything about it. Keep in mind, Jesus did walk the earth, and some people still refused to believe that He was truly the Son of God.

 

Illness, suffering, and pain are the result of our living in a cursed world—cursed because of our sin (Genesis 3:16-19; Romans 8:20-22). God’s goodness and love moved Him to provide a Savior to redeem us from the curse (1 John 4:9-10), but our ultimate redemption will not be realized until God has made an end of sin in the world. Until that time, we are still subject to physical death.

 

Miracles still happen today. For example, who is to say that in the history of the world, God has never caused a limb to regenerate? To say, "I have no empirical evidence that limbs can regenerate; therefore, no amputee has ever been healed in the history of the world" is akin to saying, "I have no empirical evidence that rabbits live in my yard; therefore, no rabbit has ever lived on this ground in the history of the world." It’s a conclusion that simply cannot be drawn. Besides, we have the historical record of Jesus healing lepers, some of whom we may assume had lost digits or facial features. In each case, the lepers were restored whole (Mark 1:40-42; Luke 17:12-14). Also, there is the case of the man with the shriveled hand (Matthew 12:9-13), and the restoration of Malchus's severed ear (Luke 22:50-51), not to mention the fact that Jesus raised the dead (Matthew 11:5; John 11), which would undeniably be even more difficult than healing an amputee.

 

Why does God send people to hell?

He cannot tolerate sin, and if one does not accept their substitute and saving grace found in Jesus Christ then they are still dead in sin and separate from God. Jesus made a way; the decision to follow is up to the individual. God also loves us to the point that He gives us the desires of our own heart, even if He is not included.

 

Many biologists have a bottom line and an agenda…such as the 1-2% difference in chimp and human DNA. That small percentage would still take millions of different combinations to get it right. That takes a huge leap of faith, and assumes that everything in evolution happened uniformly; even though according to an atheist, life is by random chance. Time becomes the “God-Factor” for atheists. Millions of years allow for many of their evolutional theories to flourish. Science is supposed to be open to interpretation of the evidence/findings, so one should not dictate there is no God or that macro evolution ever occurred. For one, no one has observed macro evolution. "Micro evolution" (if you even want to call it that, it would be God-directed) is true and has been observed, such as dogs descending from wolves. How do we not know God just created things similarly? Why do they have to all have a common ancestor? How about the possibility of a common Creator?

-Atheists often try and find fault with the flood and Noah's ark. It took Noah over a hundred years to build this ark! As far as the freshwater/salt water debate, we know that oceans get their salt from dissolved rocks and sediments below the ocean floor and that in the process of evaporation, clouds rain with that salt water; however, before the flood, there were no clouds because the earth was surrounded by a canopy of water (this is often debated, because it doesn't fit into our current understanding of science): "And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day. And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called the Seas: and God saw that it was good."- Genesis 1:6-10. When the flood took place, it was as if God took a pin and burst this canopy (the o-zone layer was far above it) and that's what caused the flood to occur. Today, we have global warming which is because of the deteriorating o-zone layer. Part of the reason people used to live longer, was because of this water canopy. Before it rained, it used to mist.

 

-As for evolution, they have very few pieces of bones that supposedly prove man came from monkey. You could put them all on top of a kitchen table. And just about all of them have been shot down, proven wrong. They were either from real monkeys, pigs, a man with arthritis, or faked to prove something that cannot be proven. Evolutionists believe that most of the time mutation is a bad thing, but every so often they give the animal an advantage and that's when they pass it on. This is what evolutionist always say, yes mutations are almost always bad, but those rare few exceptions drive the whole process. Frankly, it is a preposterous position. It takes more faith to believe in this crazy theory!

 

"Variation is not a source of new genetic information; it is only the reshuffling of information that already existed. And it is designed to serve a purpose, to slow the degradation of the genetic information. As you study life you will find that there are many error correcting and error preventing systems in life, the immune system is one. At the level of the cell there are all sorts of error correcting systems and mechanisms. The fact that life is error correcting at all levels is more evidence for intelligent design. For systems designed to trap, reduce and correct errors, assume there is a standard to be maintained. It also shows that there is anticipation that error will occur. Awareness and recognition are built into thoughtless molecules. If life was designed by unconscious random rearrangements of molecules, by mistakes and errors, you would think that life welcome error, or at least seem unconcerned with it. The presence of error correcting at all levels is evidence that life was designed.

 

Neither natural selection or variation are creative processes. If that was all that life had to play with then it could never "evolve" from molecules to man. Now there is no question that if a better organism came along that natural selection would select it. That's obvious and results in another mistake that evolutionists often make, that is, if a feature gives an organism an advantage, then it must have evolved, when in actuality, a selective advantage only decreases the chances of extinction.

 

What needs to happen for evolution to take place? It's the writing of brand-new genetic code. We call this mutation. And outside of the theory of evolution, mutation is a bad thing. There are three directions a mutation can take. Most of the time it will be neutral and have no immediate effect on the organism or it will harm the organism. And according to evolution, in some rare and yet unobserved cases, it benefits the organism, and takes it down the road towards a brand-new organ, structure or integrated system!

 

Beneficial mutations are rarely observed, they are so rare in fact that in desperation some evolutionists have resorted to calling sickle cell anemia, and other harmful mutations, beneficial because they have "beneficial" side effects. Such as sickle cell protecting against malaria. That's pretty sad. Without beneficial mutations, however, evolution didn't happen. Another place they try to find beneficial mutations is by claiming that numerous neutral mutations will build up over time to create a new functional and beneficial gene sequence. This is far from reality however."

"According to Joseph Atwill, the New Testament was written by first-century Roman aristocrats and they fabricated the entire story of Jesus Christ. This is a serious flaw in Atwill’s work. He makes claims but doesn't seem to realize how ridiculous they actually are. Like all sensationalists, Atwill claims to have discovered the hidden code in the text. Amazing! With no formal training in the material he claims to have used his magic decoder ring and stumbled upon a code! How clever of him. Atwill’s premise is quite narrowed and simplistic, demonstrating a critical lack of understanding of the cultural dynamics of Judea in the first century.

 

There exist over 30 Jewish sects that we know of from the first century, and have some basic understanding of their belief structures. There are some dozens more we just know by name. On top of that, we have to conclude there are perhaps dozens, if not hundreds, more Jewish sects of which we simply have no record. What is so interesting is how incredibly different each sect is from each other.

 

Despite Atwill’s unlearned claim that the Jewish people were expecting a ‘Warrior Messiah’, in truth there is no universal version of a Messiah. Even among the same sect, over time, the concept of their Messiah would change. In the Dead Sea Scrolls, which Mr. Atwill seems to think he knows so well, the language of the Messiah and his purpose changes (in fact at one point, we see two distinct Messiahs at once–one a priestly Messiah and another a kingly Messiah). Some sects did not even expect a Messiah at all. Any of the numerous works on Messianic expectations published in the last two decades annihilates any claim that Atwill is making about some uniformity in Jewish thought and ritual.

 

The Roman aristocracy was nowhere near as clever as Atwill’s theory requires. They certainly were not so masterfully educated in the Jewish scriptures and theology that they could compose hundreds of pages of elegant passages based on it. And it is very unlikely they would ever conceive of a scheme like this, much less think they could succeed at it (even less, actually do so).

 

Even logically, his analysis is flawed. If this tactic was used against the Jews, why didn’t the Romans use it against an even greater threat: the Gauls?! The Jewish people were never as serious a threat to the Empire as much as the Gauls were–who sacked Rome twice and destroyed legions. Atwill never seems to consider how basically incompetent his thesis is in this regard. If the Romans had such success against the Jews using this “psychological warfare”, why don’t we see this happening against all of their enemies? It is just so beyond absurd. It really is.

 

Here is the thing; it may be that Mr. Atwill is completely clueless about this. Maybe he isn’t just trying to scam everyone and sell a bunch of books to a group of gullible people. Maybe he legitimately hasn’t read anything relevant on this subject or any recent scholarship on it."

-The Bible answers all of life's questions. It reveals God's Word. When you have faith and believe in Him, the message will be revealed to you. Our history was written in the Bible before it happened, and our future has been written telling us what's to come. Jesus' crucifixion ("the piercing of His hands and feet") was documented many years before crucifixions were even invented!

 

Satan has tried to attack the Bible numerous times. You'll see hundreds of versions of the Bible and not all are interpreted correctly. The Catholic church even added 7 extra books to their Bible, which contradicts the rest of the Bible. Those 7 extra books stick out like a sore thumb. The original Hebrew and Greek are spot on; the King James version is also very accurate.

 

Divorce in the Bible:

 

-Some information on the topic of divorce-it is hard to find an honest answer since the "religious" teaching doesn't include other obvious reasons for getting one. If you read it for yourself, it shows that divorce would be necessary for obvious reason such as neglect etc. One thing it doesn't mention is the issue of getting remarried. However, it would seem that God's grace would allow for remarriage...so often people don't listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit and make poor decisions because of that fact!
