The Power of the Word of God

Nothing is more powerful than the Word of Jesus, His Blood, and His Name. You can enforce these things in a practical way for yourself or to intercede for others.

Make sure to walk in love and to not have doubt or unbelief, so that your prayers are not hindered. When you walk in love and have faith in God you have "more pull" in your prayers when you pray in the Name of Jesus Christ and in the Spirit. You are more effective when you pray in agreement with someone else, or a group of people.

When you are involved in any kind of spiritual warfare, it is important to pray something like this:

"I bind you Satan in the Name of Jesus, for it is written that whatsoever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatsoever you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. I render you powerless and ineffective. I command you to cease and desist in Jesus' Name.

Heavenly Father, I thank you that you have loosed the Mighty Angels on _________'s (or my) behalf. I thank you that no weapon formed against _______ shall prosper. I plead the Precious Blood of Jesus over myself and _________. I thank you that Your Word is Your Will, that You watch over your Word to perform it, and that it does not return to You void; that it is quick and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword." and be sure to thank Jesus for His sacrifice and all He has done for us on the Cross.

Pray that God would open your eyes to the things He wants you to see: Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.- Psalm 119:105

Make sure when you intercede for someone to plead the Blood of Jesus over yourself, and that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, as the devil may try to retaliate. Praise and worship are also paramount when it comes to effective prayer and anointing.

The Blood of Jesus is so important because when Jesus died and was buried and rose again, He presented Himself as a sinless man to the Father in the Holiest of Holies, and it is there even to this day. It constantly speaks of what He did. It represents His life (life is in the blood), so anyone who accepts Him as their Lord and Savior will have Jesus as their substitute, He took their place. That's why the devil can't stand it, and with it, God intercedes for us as a High Priest before the Father.

The Bible is the law of the universe, and all angels and demons have to obey it. That is why it is powerful to quote Scripture in full knowledge of the power of God's Word. That is also why with faith and being born-again into the Kingdom of God you can access the promises of God in the Bible (and by living as holy of a life as possible). To experience more of God personally you must genuinely seek Him continually and always listen for the still small voice of the Holy Spirit and obey it.

Also, demons can be rebuked by the Authority you have as a Child of God, it is by the Name and Blood of Jesus Christ and what He did at the Cross. The Power is the anointing, which can be used for healing and deliverance. However, it is by the Authority that you specifically rebuke Satan.

Another reason why the Word is so powerful is because Jesus is the Word made flesh. The Word is not just the words written in the Bible. However, the Biblical text (particularly specific verses that are especially anointed by the Holy Spirit) is a manifestation of the Word. The Word of God is separate from creation in that it is a part of God Himself, it is an aspect of His Power. It is not just the essence of God or the anointing, but the Word is God. Just like when Jesus healed the woman with the issue of blood and felt virtue leave Him. The Word is like the virtue, and it is what unifies the Trinity as being three yet one. Just as words symbolize abstract feelings, concepts, objects etc. The Word of God is a record of the virtue of God and who He is; it is intrinsically connected to Him. That is why quoting Scripture is so powerful...but unbelief is the barrier that will limit it's flowing healing into your life. God's will may manifest in different ways and according to His timing and plan for our lives, but it is almost always His will for us to be healed.

Reading and Quoting Scripture can keep you under God's anointing. Quoting verses from the Bible that pertain to your situation (such as healing Scriptures) and speaking them into your situation or sickness (literally speaking it into where the sickness is located in the body) can cause you to be delivered if you have faith in God. You can pray Scriptures over your life daily and pray that you would receive all the blessings God has for you.
