-You can also read God's Word, of course and then apply it to your own daily life. That is often the easiest way to start. Faith grows supernaturally when you pursue God and it is an anointing that the Holy Spirit gives you. Sometimes God will give you an anointing of faith in a specific area such as healing. Basically, God can open your spirit to a new dimension that you didn't know existed (this also pertains to praying in the spirit and is the "secret place" that Psalm 91 talks about, because it is hidden from the world who is lost to the lies of the enemy through the unredeemed flesh). The anointing can also be tangible (in a cloth, in the hands etc.) and can be activated by faith. When you have a calling on your life God can give you the anointing even if it takes you time to grow in your faith/ "grow into it". God can communicate through a tangilbe anointing by quickening your spirit and you can feel the quickening in the anointing as well as it comes as a feeling of warmth in the hands etc.

As a rule of thumb if you are waiting for an answer to prayer or a miracle you would read Scriptures pertaining to that specific area and pray and believe for them in faith. Even just being open-hearted to the promises in God's Word can cultivate the soil of your heart so that you are ready to receive them in the first place. That is why miracles are often not instantaneous as God is interested in developing your character. Salvation comes in a similar way when you believe/receive it.

If you read the Bible, say prophecy for example (which is typically difficult to understand), you can ask the Holy Spirit to reveal things to you and He will, even if you have to wait for Him to give you an answer, which He most often communicates in your spirit.

Another way to utilize the Bible is to declare it over your life, almost like a preacher would. This is the same way I would use God's Word in spiritual warfare, which when activated by faith in God is a weapon against Satan, which is using the power and authority of God against him (which is why you have walk the walk as well to be effective).

Dwell on God's Word every day to supernaturally be filled with His anointed Word and the enemy will have a difficult time infiltrating your thoughts/action etc. In spiritual warfare you will be able to rebuke Him with greater power and anointing when He tries to attack you through people or other circumstances/weaknesses.

Over time, the stronger you get, the more God will use you.He will use whatever area of your life you give him and He doesn't expect you to be perfect. Discernment for instance, is like a muscle that grows by the exercising it.  It is not about being the most visible either, with a famous ministry etc. Ministries are often ran like a business and people base their callings off of these ministries when they may or may not be called. God will still use someone like this, but titles don't mean anything to God, personal relationship does. One of the biggest challenges of being a Christian is putting down the flesh, because it is always right there. We are so often blinded by the flesh and darkened mind, to the point that we don't know anything different. The devil counts on and uses this against us all the time.
